Yes — while PHC primarily serves providers in the Columbia, Moberly, and greater Mid-Missouri area, we welcome attendees from across Missouri. Training is held in person at our Columbia, MO facility at 3809 S. Providence Rd. Yes. PHC’s PBS training is available to both DD service providers and school districts. Our trainers have experience delivering PBS training in educational behavioral support contexts. For school districts seeking on-site training or custom arrangements for larger staff groups, contact PHC directly to discuss scheduling.

Level 1 Medication Aide is a required certification for DD support staff in Missouri who administer medications to the individuals they support. The training covers medication types, proper documentation, administration procedures, and safety protocols. It is required for DD providers operating under Missouri DMH guidelines and must be renewed periodically. PHC’s training is open to external DD providers across Missouri.

Contact your job, the agency where you attended the class or contact the DMH L1MA Unit at CMROMedAide@dmh.mo.gov or 573-526-6720.

Email CMROMedAide@dmh.mo.gov to request a transfer. The DMH L1MA Unit will check the registry and if your certificate is valid, in good standing, and the certificate is available, the transfer will be made to DMH.

Email CMROMedAide@dmh.mo.gov and request a verification letter to show that you are in good standing. You will also need a copy of your most recent practicum score sheet OR your most recent two (2) year update form. If you don’t have either of these items, contact the agency where you attended your most recent class for assistance. After you have all your necessary documentation, contact DHSS (info below) and advise them that you are interested in transferring your L1MA from DMH to DHSS.

Upon receiving your L1MA certification, DMH adds your name and credentials to the DMH L1MA registry. This registry is only accessible by DMH state employees. If you need proof of certification, email CMROMedAide@dmh.mo.gov.
